First of all, am NO noob and this is NO SWOD (Spinning Wheel of Death).

Everything started when I installed the "Chromium iPhone" theming package. Everything worked well, also the Artwork file, but I thought my SummerBoard theme didn't fit. Well, then I launched ThemeBuilder and played around with it a little, blah blah blah

It got boring and I wanted to change some themes with FileBrowser. I just looked at some themes and deleted 1 PNG file, and then FileBrowser suddenly crashed.
After that, I realized I couldn't open ANY application, all of them showed the default image for like 1 second and threw me back to the SpringBoard.
I thought, maybe my memory is low, and turned the iPod off.
The "off" wheel turned for 1 minute and then suddenly my iPod rebooted!
I had verbose boot on, and it came up, for a short time it still showed the normal stuff and then the screen got flooded with all kinds of kernel exceptions and it rebooted and now it just keeps rebooting like that!

iTunes can't find it, but I don't want to lose all of my data when I restore!! Is there any way to dump the memory in Recovery Mode??

    Help would be real nice.

BTW: This is NOT a SWOD, again. I can't SSH into it, can't iPhUC into it, nothing!
Recovery Mode still works but I don't want to lose my data.
Can somebody tell me the trick how to get your personal data back?

since you cant ssh into it i recommend just a restore then take a little time to put it all back on.

The problem is that there's some stuff on my iPod which isn't on the computer yet, like some iSlsk songs

and an iTunes purchase! I'd like to make a disk image of my iPod and restore it, then copy important stuff on there again.

you can't do anything at the moment..you CAN wait until a data recovery software comes out for the itouch or iphone and then you can restore in itunes and after that recover your files on it (like some unerase tools do on mac/pc

Try Total Commander. It requires USB, but if iTunes doesn't recognize it, Total Commander might not either.

You can get the iTunes music off of your iPod by just clicking "Check for Updates" in iTunes. But a restore is your best option imo. How much iSlsk music do you have on it?
