I'm aware that a bunch of things don't work in 4.0 yet, but I thought I'd give WeatherIcon a try to see how much of it works. Turns out it's only able to supply a badge to the Apple Weather app so far, whether the option is enabled or not and regardless of the app you select. It also temporarily hides the status bar on some resprings.

Thing is, both of these problems remain even after uninstalling it

Any ideas as to how to clean that up before WeatherIcon gets updated for 4.0?

I hate to ask, but have you rebooted?

First thing I tried. Also tried using sbsettings to hide then unhide Apple Weather, nodice. It's nothing I can't live with, but it makes me wonder if it's left behind any other little glitches.

Does it still show up in SBSettings under mobile substrate addons?

Nope, not in /Library/MobileSubstrate/DynamicLibraries/ either. Also removed Webview Controller as it was a dependency.

I haven't used 4.0 so this is just a guess, but what if you took everything out of that folder and rebooted?

Nope. That badge is clinging on

Not getting the status bar glitch at all anymore, so maybe the first reboot fixed that part.

Once again I hate to ask but what about opening the app? That may clear the badge. Doubtful but it can't hurt to try.

I tried that at first too, still the same. I'm guessing that if an app doesn't normally have badges it doesn't run any routines to update/clear them.

Yeah defiantly right. Sorry I wish I could be of more help but I don't know what else you could do to get rid of that. A respring or reboot always seems to fix that kind of stuff.
