Bump! I am looking for an answer to this also.

Well, I'm assuming that the BacksideBackground.png image in the application folder is the background. In MobileFinder, it appears black, but when I dragged the png image into PaintShop Pro, it is transparent. So I am completely confused.

I tried renaming the file (so that Weather.app wouldn't be able to find it) and the app still loaded up a black background.

I am wondering if it has something to do on a programming level, but lack iPod Touch programming skills. Help please! Suggestions?

to get the background behind the weather 'bubble', you just gotta make it all one big image i.e. full size ipod screen (320x480), background, then bubble all in one image.

check out this skin to see what i mean.. http://macthemes2.net/forum/viewtopic.php?id=16785761

I tried making the background image a full size 320x480 picture, but it only showed the image where the weather night and day backgrounds are supposed to be. In other words, it did not span the whole screen as I hoped.

i wonder if you made the dimensions the size of a wallpaper(320x480) and set the wallpaper color whatever you want then you could photoshop the skin you want in the right spot so that it still looks right? the same way you can go outside the icon dimensions and it wont be cut off
