Hi guys, decided to repost since I think I posted it on the wrong forum. Anyway....

I installed the iPhone apps following these steps:

    * Jailbreak with iLIberty 1.2.1.78, choose only Jailbreak and Installer option
    * Add Source repo.ispazio.net
    * Install app Tweaks (1.1.4)\1.1.4 iPod Full Features

So now I have all the iPhone apps and Wiggly Icons and stuff.

Everything is great except for the Weather.app and Clock.app apps, where they always default to Cupertino and they never save any other location. Does anyone know this problem, and/or have a fix for it?

    Thanks

hey, I got the same problem (been endless problems since the 1.1.4 upgrade : /), I personally have BSD subsystem and openSSH installed. This glitch effects Maps, Weather, and acording to you, clock (don't use the clock, so IDK)

Maps always returns to default view upon exit and deletes all bookmarks, and Weather always defaults back to the weather for Cupertino California (60 degrees and sunny was today's forecast, lucky : |)

hopefully someone will find a solution (btw, mine was jailbroken the same way [restored and re jailbroke it this morning])

Ah, that explains it then. Yeah, I have BSD and SSH installed.

Is there an alternative method to manipulate your iPod's innards without these two?

I'd like to have Clock and Weather and Maps but putting eBooks and PDFs in the right place is more important to me.

    I see... well, that's odd... I JB my iPot with Liberty+ (1.1.4)
First time I got the youtube error... JB again and everything works fine 'till now...
Sorry, I don't have a clue what's going on, but I'll do some research on the web and see if I can find something to help you guys...

Okay, couldn't find nothing yet... but let me ask you this: your iPot came with the new apple apps or did you download them? Try setting the permissions for 755 or 777 via FTP or terminal and see if it works... I dunno, that's all I can think right now, since I'm new to the iPod touch... bought mine less then 2 weeks ago...
    Hope it works...

I have the same problem...I did the 1.1.4 Jailbreak and afterwards the prefs for both Clock and the Weather apps couldn't be saved.

Anyone have any idea what's going on?

so, apps that I've found to be effected are:

    Weather-doesn't save locations
    Youtube-doesn't remember searches
maps-doesn't remember bookmark pins or where you last were apon exit
    clock-same as weather
    sketches-doesn't remember drawing apon exit
    Services-doesnt remember settings
    iTunes-same as youtube
    Stocks-same as weather and clock

Hope this list helps, will add more as I find them
