the notes app that comes with the new firmwares i have concluded just sucks... why would it not support side typing? what a joke, everyone knows its easier to type sideways.. any idea on a apple supported notes app update? i am aware of "magic pad" but, it too sucks, too many issues wrong with it..

i dont know if im the only one but i take just my ipod to classes where notes are thrown up on an overhead projector .. then the class ends.. screw paper and pencil.. i am very reliant on this notes app for my primary source for note taking.. anyone else doing this? and would like to see the app rethought?

I myself am in need of a Homework Planner app on the AppStore. There used to be a JB version back in 1.1.3 but we need a new one. id pay a buck or two for it, if it was good.

no sideways texting for iPhone users?! That's kind of sad. But I agree, I'd love to see a GREAT note taking app for the touch.

eh i think it's a lot easier to type in portrait mode

in landscape i hafta look down at the keyboard and go slow but in portrait i can just type normally

and mclaurin you can use iprocrastinate, it works good

    but that homework.app was better

I like Evernote, it's free, and has clients for Windows and Mac. You can't type in Landscape, but I don't need it.

You CAN take voice and picture notes, as well as text of course, and they sync online.

?? buy a laptop? Who doesn't own a laptop who owns a ipod touch? i think the relationship goes hand in hand.. and the point of the conveniently small ipod is the ability to take notes just like a laptop but you can stuff it in your pocket after class and essentially bring nothing but your ipod to class
