Hey guys, lets start a thread on ways to speed up iOS 4. Please list ways that you tweaked iOS 4 to make it run faster. -Something i picked up on these forums. 1. SSH into your iDevice or use iFile which you can do this directly from your device. 2. Go to /System/Library/CoreServices/Springboard.app and look for these files. (I deleted mine) WallpaperGradientLandscapeBottomT.png WallpaperGradientLandscapeTopT.png WallpaperGradientPortraitBottomT.png WallpaperGradientPortraitTopT.png WallpaperIconDockShadow.png WallpaperIconDockShadowT.png WallpaperIconShadow.png WallpaperIconShadowT.png Another way is to download iMemoryEnhancer. It is imperative that you reboot after install and have sbsettings installed. For a more in depth-review check out this thread http://www.ifans.com/forums/...d.php?t=303980 Another trick is to not have Apples multitasking installed. It eats up your ram. You can use backgrounder as an alternative. They updated it pretty nice for 4.0. Also, do not install wallpapers as it seemed to lag my iOS 4 even worse. Just install winterboard and use their themes.
