Ok, i just bought a new iPhone 3G off of craigslist but i cant use it because there is a passcode on it. Anyone know how to get around it? It won't let me open it up in iTunes either.

The person you purchased it from should give you the passcode. Otherwise you're out of luck. Do you have a link to the ad on Craigslist?

just ask the guy who sold it to you... not too hard. If your trying to break into it thne its obviously not a legit trade.

put it in DFU and restore.

Why is every locked ipod/iphone automatically assumed stolen, not the case here but even when they say they need the data?
