If you mean take your to your computer from an Ipod Touch, you need a program on your pc. But I dont know if that would work since it cant acessed as a flash drive. Mabey it wouldnt make a differece. Im still kind of new to this too.

Just try it out bumblepie. The worst thing that would happen would be a restore to the original state. There's a lot of apps you're missing with your virgin iTouch.

It's exciting to read all the possible ways of jailbreaking your iTouch. Just be ready to invest time and be patient. Read through the stickies before you do anything. As a total noobie myself, I should say I learned a whole lot from this site.

Great FAQ. I'm new to the forum and relatively new user of the Touch (two months). I must say that I am still wary of doing this since bricking a $400 piece of electronics that out-of-the-box is great is still a concern. I have two questions not in the FAQ:

    1) What exactly is this dn.vc/jb? Is this XCode or some other language? How does it work? Is the code open-source? I'm a programmer so technical specifics won't be lost on me.

    2) As with any software, some programs are malicious. Could we get a list of apps that are tried and true? I don't want to inadvertently cause any damage. Progs used by a majority of the community are acceptable.

Other than that, good job. Thanks for the replies (and flames?).
