Alright, so I've completely f**ked up my iPod, but I have an idea.
So I was installing a case mod for my iPod, when I damaged the WiFi and USB so that neither work at all.

I've opened it back up and I can't see anything wrong.
Normally I would just put the original case back on and return it to Apple and tell them that it's broken and exchange it. Thing is, it's jailbroken and since the USB won't work, I have no means of restoring it.

Is there any way I can break my iPod, or disable it, so Apple won't be able to tell it was jailbroken and still give me a return?

It's open right now so I can basically do anything to the insides if people suggest it.

    Thanks.

can you even turn on the iPod?

    If You can
go to settings, general, go to reset, then touch "Erase All Content and Settings.
It will take about 2 hours or so. if You have lots of things on the iPod.

    Have fun.

You actually have to try to break something on an ipod touch

    .
That is something be proud of, people who ran over there ipod touch with a car, and yet the ipod touch still worked fined, except for a cracked screen.

To be honest I don't know of any other way, beside restoring. But you can't

    hmmm....
microwave,or maybe a really strong magnet could mess it up a bit, or just take a lighter to some of the wires/electronics inside and say it got really hot charging, if they do open it up BAM! burnt stuff (dont go overboard though just make it look like a short)

Pretending your iPod stopped working on its own when it did not is fraud.
    Fraud is a crime.
Crimes are against the law...even on the internet!

I guess it's true, common sense is really not that common.
