There's surely multiple threads about this matter, can't find it though.

My itouch gen2 was below water for about 7 sec. I was stupid enough to turn it on, and now it doesn't work.

I heard about the rice thing, but it seems pointless.

So, how will I trick the apple-mofos in believing the ipod wasn't waterdamaged, so i can get a new one?

The ph-paper thing in my earphone-socket are about 20% red.

What would happen if you took the ph paper out and say it fell out?

Committing Fraud is both illegal and against the sites rules. You can try to revive it yourself, but since you already turned it on, you probably fried most of the internals. Wait for the new iPod touch to come out, likely in September, and buy a new one if you must.

Then the warranty wouldnt count either.
    No paper, no warranty.
