Water dasmage

    My iphone 3g was water damaged. I dismantled it and let it dry out for 2 weeks. After reassembly, it worked but the battery would not charge. I bought a new battery that was half charged and it worked but still would not charge. Is the cause for not charging the logic board, charging port or something else? Thanks, Mark

    put it in rice. rice absorbs water. wait for a 24 hours.

    It does not say anywhere in his post that he put it in rice. Read before you post.

    I'm pretty sure that reaper is trying to say if he dismantled it and left it to dry for 2 weeks, it will have obviously dried already...

    not necessarily. Water is a tricky thing.

    The OP might have already fried the logic board by trying to charge.
