hey first post.. this seems like a pretty good forum with alot to be learned here.. but on to my main post.. i just recently got the netflix app on my itouch and was wondering if there is anyway i can play it through my tv.. i have the cable to do so and ive used it with other sites that stream movies and i watch them on my tv.. but all them use quicktime or whatever it is.. but the netflix uses something else.. i hooked it up and i only got sound but no picture.. is there a fix for this or has anyone else ran into this problem.. or is the app not meant to be used like this?? thanks in advance

there is not video out support yet, you'll have to wait for an update or use the ScreenSplitr jailbreak app

DisplayOut (on the Cydia Store) mirrors whatever you're seeing onto the TV.
The quality may not be as great as it would be if it were natively supported, though.

You're going to have to wait for 4.1 + a jailbreak to be able to do anything if Netflix doesn't.

The video is fake. Unless you downgrade, there is no way to jailbreak a device on 4.0.2
