was 1.1.2 worth it??

    i have had many problems with the jailbreak and 1.1.2. ie can't find nes in installer. gba messed up. but i figured i might as well update now since im sure all the problems will be fixed soon and i had to do it sometime. what are your thoughts??

    Yes it was. Nes appeared for me, maybe customize hid it? GBA was fixed. Iono what the update did so I guess it was worth it cause I just gained more knowledge? Hahaha.

    Yes i believe it was worth it, although apple is probably pissed that it was jailbroken before its release. hehe

    ya everything is faster and audio quality is better( that is what i care about most). so it was worth it for me.

    It's my understanding that 1.1.2 isn't really jailbroken though, so can we really say it is? The current process is to use OktoPrep to basically pre-hack the Touch so that when the 1.1.2 firmware is installed it's already broken; we're basically cheating. If they would ship Touches with 1.1.2 and prevented backwards flashing, then we'd be stuck until someone found a new exploit.

    What is faster ? The animations or what ?
    I'm thinking they've increased the animation speed to induce a "placebo effect" of a faster iPod.

    So? I guess it's not really worth it.

    it was way worth it. everything is so much faster, the way you browse song, open up an app, going through the applications list. i haven't experienced any problems at all
