Warranty

    Alright so i have a 1st gen, going to be sending it in for service,
    i have the apple care plan or w/e, will i have to pay shipping, cause i know if you dont its like $45 or something like that?

    Will i have to pay that or with the warranty is it free??

    Warranties cover repairs, and I think getting it TO them will be on your own pay.

    I could be wrong though.
    If they gave you some kind of information panflet on the Extended Care Plan you purchased, you might want to look at what it covers.

    but $45 is EXTREME just for shipping lol

    So here's what I did.
    After 6 months, apple requires you to pay $40 for shipping, however, if you get applecare, they waive the fee. So you're good to go! They wont charge you a cent.

    Obviously, the thread is about shipping it.
    Hes contacted Apple, and they want him to ship it.

    Nowhere in the post was he talking about taking it to an Apple Store.
    He might not live near one.

    Yeah the closet store is either in Vancouver or Calgary, both about 6 hours away.

    Ok really? Ill see what happens.

    oh, carfreak65 said that if you have extended care, they waive the fee.
