I want to jailbreak my iPod Touch but I understand that that will void the warranty.

However, I heard that restoring the iPod will return your iPod back to it's original state which brings me to two questions:

    1) Is the iTunes restore all I have to do?
    2) Will this method really work and will they know that I jailbroke it?

Apple can't tell the difference between a jailbroken iDevice that's been restored and a device that's never been jailbroken. Just make sure to set it up as a new device (do not restore from backup).

    Why not restore from backup?
