Many people on the iPhone Dev Team's blog and on iPod touch Fans have experienced a white screen after creating their 2.0.2 custom firmware.

Please be aware that Pwnage Tool may give you a white screen, requiring you to restore to a stock firmware. I have been able to replicate this a number of times, and the iPod touch Fans IRC Channel can give you a variety of examples of creatively used obscenities placed around error 6 and Pwnage Tool.

I did an iPhone on a mac using screenshare last last with no problems but the ipod I tried continually went back into recovery mode after the custom firmware install. Using Bootcamp did not work either as the Quickpwn apps crashed everytime.
