warning/fault help

    my itune keep poping up a window that reads.......... the itune library file cannot be saved. a folder was specified instead of a file... what the heck does this even mean....thanks

    try re-installing iTunes

    I used to have the same problem before, and I think it has something to do with the file protection thing in windows 7. You have to go into the Music folder(or wherever you set it) that contains the itune music folder and change the promission of the itune folder.

    i had had itune on the computer for some time but i did the update for itunes and plugged in my ipod and thats when i noticed that it started doing..how do i try to reinstall itunes...thanks i still have vista though..

    oh then I believe you need to update the itunes.
    Open up your itunes, then go to help, check for updates
    You should be able to download it from there

    thats what i did and thats when it started popping up, i wonder if i should try to reupdate it..

    try go to control panel and remove itunes
    then go to apple website and download the latest version and install it

    will ihave to copy all my music over again or will it do it when i plugg my ipod in...just restarted computer and i popped up with out itunes even open. i can check the box that says do show again but i want to make sure that its something thats not going to give me problams down the road..

    Reinstall the itunes should not affect your music library.
    Try download the new version from apple website and install it WITHOUT removing the old one, it should keep all the music and setting in the itune.

    well now it brings up a box that reads the itunes itl file cannot be found or created. the default location for this file is in itunes folder in the music folder..i uninstalled itunes and then went to apple to reinstall itunes and thats when i get that message...starting to get really pissed!!

    well i got ahold of apple and they said that it was something to do with windows any one able to help...thanks
