    just a little warning

it may not be the same for everyone but i just held the home button and lock button to do a reboot and it came up with a connect to itunes logo and would go past it till i plugged it in

however its all cool cos i didn't have to do a restore or anything it booted straight away but just a warning

Wait, you held the lock and home button at the same time?

    That's DFU.

    Nope. That's DFU.

To reboot just hold the power button.

^ Yea to power off you usually hold the lock button and then slide to turn off.

If you hold the sleep and home buttons, it is a force power off.
