Has any of you had this stupid virus anti-virus pop up deal?

This thing was really pissing me off a week or so ago.

    Heres what it looks like.

Now let me remind you that it's a fake anti-virus pop up that can get through your PC through Cookies.

My problem occured cause some how I got a tracking cookie through IE (Internet Explorer)

Luckly I deleted and refreshed everything in IE as it would be if brand new.

    This fixed the problem.

Also if you get this malware piece of ~@#! do not let it scan.Just ignore it and try to remove it.

The risk is is that it will after a while try and steal your information.

Anyways has anybody else had this piece of crap on there computer?

Using an alternate more secure internet browser is often a better option... like Mozilla FireFox or Google Chrome.

A cookie is simply a bit of text data, you didn't get that malware from it.

I don't even use Internet Explorer.

Sometimes I do but very rare.

    I use google chrome.

When I deleted all my cookies and stuff from IE and restoring it it went away.

Popup blockers won't stop it.It's on your computer from a tracking cookie or something.

Use Firefox, and don't download sh!t. I wouldn't be surprised if that were still on your PC.
