    Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone uses a wireless connection with their XBox 360. If so do you use anything other than the $100 wireless adapter from Microsoft?

I am looking to attach my 360 to a Wireless Access Point (WAP), but all my search efforts via Google tell me nothing about do doing that exclusively. I have an Access Point that I want to attach via ethernet cable to my XBox so that way it acts as a bridge. I know I could use a router that is DD-RT (?) firmware compatible and convert it to a bridge, but I just can't understand why I can't use an Access Point to the exact same thing without having to flash the firmware.

If I can do this, is there a way I should specifically go about doing it?

    Thanks a lot in advance!

What type of router do you have? If you have a router that is a 4-slot router, just plug the ethernet cable from your Xbox to one of the slots on your router. That's how I play Ps2 online.

Some routers don't allow access to the bridging features on standard firmware. That's why you gotta flash it.

I can use my laptop as a wirless adapter
the only thing is i have to disable my firewall for it to work
other wise it blocks xbox live

if you have a laptop you can google how to setup a connection
    its not all that hard.

or if you have Att U-Verse cable then you can plug your xbox into the ethernet port on the back of your cable box.
