    It is at 3.1.3 when I bought it sometime two weeks ago. 32GB, is it jailbreakable?

    Yes it is possible since well Geohot and the dev team has jailbroken the 32gb version, supposedly. But to answer your question correctly, Apple doesn't sign previous ipod touch firmware which when you try to downgrade an error pops up saying something. This stops the downgrade since when Itunes sends a message out to an apple server apple responses hey I don't have a signed firmware for that so no abort mission. I am in the same boat as you so I get to wait, or just use my ipod with out the jailbreak. So no you will not be able to downgrade, doesn't it stink?
