    Hey guys.

My Ipod is genuinely screwed. It will charge a little bit, then stop charging, and usb's wont find it at all. It is jailbroken, and installer keeps on freezing every time I open it. I need a sure-fire way to get this iPod replaced. It is 5 days old

Why don't you just restore instead of trading it in? And then see if your battery problem is still there.

Restore it and then tell them your home button is messed up and your usb is not working (usb on ipod)

    run in DFU mode

Then show apple. They will have to restore it, and they won't see installer

hold down the power and home button until the screen shuts off... then exactly 1 second after let go of the power button.

wait 10 seconds then release the home button... if the screen stays off you have put it into DFU mode... if not try again
