For some reason i'm not getting the results i want to.

I'm using iTunes 9.2 (i just upgraded from 9.1 because i was thinking i couldn't upgrade to my downloaded 4.0.1 because 9.2. was the iTunes to bring out iOS4 [i i think thats right]) and my iPhone is running the 3.1.3 software. I'm using an iMac also.

I'm trying to upgrade to the 4.0.1 but for some reason, iTunes 9.2 (or Apple) isn't letting me. So i have three questions?

    1) Am i doing something wrong?

    2) Do i need a third party software to assist in upgrading to 4.0.1?

    3) Lastly, i want to create games for the iPhone (become an iDev member), is it required i have the latest iTunes and lastest iPhone firmware AND not be jailbroken? And if so, should i just stay at 3.1.3, because i mainly jailbroke for MyWi cause i don't have internet where i'm living currently.

Thanks for any help. (i searched for hours looking for an answer to this)

i honestly have no idea what that is honestly. I downloaded TinyUmbrella, cause i've read about people using it and has my 3.1.3 firmware cache. (i realized i'm using 3.1.3 not 3.1.2)

Lol, you're not actually the YouTube Kid_Lazer, buddy of MisterFantasmo? xD
Well anyways, if you have Tiny Umbrella, you gotta press "Start TSS Server" and then run iTunes.

nah lol, i'm not that guy.

ummm...opening up Tiny Umbrella, Starting TSS Server, then running iTunes doesn't work.

I'm getting the 3002 error. Does my iPhone need to be in a certain state for the restore to work?

In tiny umbrella you need to try to "save your shsh's" first, before starting the server.

If it can get them from Cydia, it will. If not, you're out of luck.
