Horrible... just horrible, the whole proximity sensor issue. Within 15 minutes, it goes on mute, hold, speaker, facetime... and the cycle repeats.

    It's just a glorified ipod touch. I'm upgraded to 4.1, and I can't stand this sh*t.

Cool story ! Tell it at parties !

And luckily for you you can still return your iPhone I believe thanks to the antenna-gate issue. You just need to pay 10% in a restocking fee.

iPhone 4 has no restocking fee.

New day. It's not as horrible at I thought. It happens mainly when I'm lying down. I actually only got the phone 2 days ago. So I'm wondering if exchanging it would really do anything at all...

Best Buy always charges a restock fee, although it's usually 15% where I live.

tried to restore it but it doesnt ever give me the option of restoring as a "new iphone".. once I hit restore, it just restores it.

You get the option to set it up as a new iPhone AFTER you restore it. Unless you have a backup already, it won't give you the option.
