Wanna get a replacement

    I have about 3 dead pixels on my ipod touch 2g and a hell lotta scratches. I was wondering how can i get it replaced under the apple warranty.anyway to intentionally damage it?

    no don't open it.. just go to the apple store and say that ur ipod keeps on freezing up on you. make sure that ur ipod is at a normal apple approved firmware.. so inother words... NOT JAILBROKEN. just say that its freezing up on you when u watch youtube, and its quits out of safari a lot... and they will give u a new one. i did that and it worked.. even though mine was really doing those things.... but yeah don't open it or it'll void the warranty for sure... even though yes... jailbreaking technically does void out your warranty, if u restore to a factory 2.2.1 firmware, they won't know.. so there ya go.

    Thanks i went and did that but i got a grouchy guy and he said that it was because i did something stupid and said that i would have to pay 299

    But I have heard of microwaving it a bit to mess up the Wi-fi. Sounds dangerous though.

    yeah dude. thats crap.. that guy needs to not work there... just go back tomorrow and hope that he isn't there.
