    Ok, I have another tip for you guys its a simple and pretty neat one

    1. open up a page 320x480 with a white background
    2. pick your colors on the gradient panel in this case I did a simple black to blue(63aebf)
    3. Go to Filter and add Noise to about 20% (leave it uniformed) click ok
    4. Go back to Filter and go to Blur and pick Motion Blur set your angle to -90(should be streaking downwards.
    5. select both layers and merge them, and if you want to add some lighting go to Filter and then go to Render/lightening effect and you can set the spot light which comes out really cool. There you have it. Good Luck. here is a example:
