Ok, I have the 8GB Ipod Touch, with 1.1.4 and the January Updates.

I'd like to jailbreak it to get some of the cool apps, like Iphysics and be able to change the wallpaper and so on...

Is there a really easy way for me to Jailbreak it, allowing me to keep my January Update apps on there?

Also, what is the risk involved, I mean, like is there a way that Apple could find out and it could some how screw up my Ipod?

    Tanks!

    1. Cool.
    2. Yes. http://www.ziphone.org. Click Download ZiPhone and follow the onscreen instructions. It doesn't carry over your January Update Applications but you can download the apps through Installer and gojohnnyboi's source.
    3. There is no risk to jailbreaking. You cannot brick your iPod. It can be force restored, so Apple doesn't know and your warranty is back. Jailbreaking DOES void your warranty, but you can restore it with a force restore. A force restore also clears the jailbreak and it'll be like new.

Please search next time though. The answers are littered all over the board.
    Thanks,

The link your provided works, but I can't download it, is there an alternative link I can use?

Ok sure, I've also heard that there are certian things that I should installed through "Installer" once it's done, is this right?

Ok, sorry about that! I'm just a little nervous is all...

What? Ziphone gets rid of the january app pack?

You should most probably get bsd subsystem, summerboard, customize, jiggy runtime, squid, terminal and open ssh.

These will have you set to have 99% of applications off installer.

The Jan apps come back after you sync with iTunes.

RESTORE on iTunes in the middle of the screen when you plug in the iPod you should see the button.

    Alright, so do that;

    Re-Download 1.1.4
    Run Ziphone and Jailbreak
    Go to Installer

    Then what?
