ok i had my ipod touch jailbroken for over a month now. i had over 3 pages of icons on it that i had installed.

i got onto itunes and it said there was a firmware update to 1.1.2 and i installed it and now all of my ipod is basically set to the way it was when i first got it.

i realize now that i was supposed to make preparations to save my icons before i updated the firmware????

so basically i now have to jailbreak it again on 1.1.2 and reinstall all my icons?

Im pretty sure you'll have to downgrade to 1.1.1, jailbreak it, install oktoprep, then upgrade to 1.1.2.

If you're using a Mac this is how to jailbreak your iPT. If you're on a PC, I am not sure.

    First go to,
    http://appldnld.apple.com.edgesuite...70927.p23dD/iPod1,1_1.1.1_3A110a_Restore.ipsw
    to download the 1.1.1 firmware.

    Install that firmware.

Then using safari on your iPT install the installer.app.

If I remember rightly safari crashes but restarts.

Hide that firmware version on your computer or put it on a cd. You may need it again.

Using Installer install the Octoprep tweak from Tweaks (1.1.1).

THEN, ungrade to 1.1.2. DON'T retsore, use the UPGRADE button.

Next, go to http://conceitedsoftware.com/iphone/site/112jb.html. Download the zip file and unzip it.

The folder will be called "1."

Connect your iPT to your computer.

    Run the jailbreak.jar application.

Your iPT is now jailbroken. You will find the installer.app on the spring board.

Install the BSD package first. Alot of the other apps depend on it.

Once you have Installer use these instructions from LadiesMan217 to install iPhone apps.
    1. Go into Installer.app > Go to Sources tab
    2. Click Edit in top right corner> Click Add in top left corner
    3. Enter "http://repo.us.to" Then Hit OK.
    4. Click Done then Refresh
    5. Go into "Install" tab
    6. Scroll down a bit, then you'll see "iPhone 1.1.1 Apps for..." and "iPhone 1.1.2 Apps for..."
    7. Click the one you want to install
    8. If installing "Mail" or "Map" You must first install "Google Maps Prep..." or "Mobile Mail Prep.." respectively. NOTE: Will Say Warning, just click Yes.

shadowstepster provided the info on getting the 1.1.1 firmware.

    I hope this helps.
