Wait for iTouch 3g? --> now its jb method questions

Hey all, im very much considering getting an itouch, however i would definately want to jbreak it. If i waited for the 3rd gen, would this be possible or would it be likely hardware prevented?
Another thing, im sure you get tons of qs like this, ive browsed around for a while on the net regarding jailbreaking and theres so many tools for it... which is the best to use for an itouch with the latest fw?
many thanks guys, i really appreciate it

if you wait for the 3g, you would have to wait a long time for a jailbreak if there even will be one. the 2g jailbreak took like 5 months.

quickfreedom was pretty good when I jb'd my 2g but from past experience of using quickpwn on the 1g it is a lot easier.

Your better off saving that money because no one will sell you a good-condition iPod Touch 2G for 100 dollars. Or else you might consider buying an iFraud from China.

quickpwn is fast and doesn't require a restore. the other tools all modify firmware and require a full restore. If you're getting a 2g for the first time, you might as well use quickfreedom to make a custom 2.2.1 that it untethered. Then, restore with that. if you ipod is full, then use quickpwn cuz copying everything back to ur ipod takes forever.
