    Just had to post,
Finally, after over 2 weeks trying ( various methods) Im Jailbroken!
    Mwuhahahahahahaaaa!
In the end I took a large bag of beer and smokes round to a mates house and used quickfreedom on his machine ( running Vista 64 ).
Had a few scares with BSOD ( cheers LibUsb! ) but all ran smoothly.
Just had to post thanks to everyone that helped me on IPTF and also the writers / developers of the software and tewts.

Phew, feel better after that........now im off to add bells and whistles to it along with a load of games Ive not played in years.

    LOL

Yeh, 2 weeks of the same thing happening over and over.
It was like GroundPod day. Everytime I tried ( whatever method ) I would get to the part where I had to Shift restore in Itunes, then I would get Error 1604, over and over again.
As soon as I used a different machine it was done and dusted in 10mins.
Must be my PC I guess?

yeh, iknow, thats kinda my point

    I know.
My point was, after 2 weeks trying on a computer thats slower than a fat disabled kid in a cross country race, it was done from start to finnish in 10min ( including setting Libusb up for vista 64......and having to reboot) on a half decent machine.
