Hi, I have a 2nd gen iPod touch that is jailbroken. Everything has been fine, but a few days ago I just started experiencing a very annoying problem.

When I try to use the volume rocker on the side of the iPod, it will always go up one step in volume then immediately drop down one; when I hold either voume up/down, it just switches really quickly up and down. Because of this, I can't change my volume and have to either bring up music controls or use SBSettings.

Around the same time this started happening I noticed a little loading-circle thing "sticking" to my app icons after I've closed them. I'm not sure if this is related or not so I don't know if it's a software or hardware issue.

Anyone else having any trouble with this? Could it be a JB app just keeping the volume constant or something?

Or you can try to find out what caused the problem and remove it. It's most likely an app you installed. Do you remember what you last installed?
