Basically this issue happens randomly with my ipod touch and can be quite annoying. For example sometimes when i plug in my headphones my volume wont just go to my head phones but both the speakers and the head phones and when a adjust the volume it doesnt even say headphones are plugged in, or even sometimes it will say my headphones are plugged in when their not and i wont hear anyvolume through the speakers. Someon eplease help!!!

Calm down, 25 minutes isn't enough time to wait.
Just un-plug them, and re-plug them might work. It is apparently common with the 3rd Generation iPod Touch. You might also try a respring, or restore.

Restore it. If it doesn't work go back to apple for a replacement.
