I have a Macally Ivoice pro microphone, everything works crystal clear when i use voice recording apps like, irecorder pro.

But when I use fring or siphone my mic does not work, basically my both audio in earphones and recording stops for some reason.

I have a Gen. 1 Ipod touch with firmware 3.0, jailbroken.
    Help needed, please!

It is necessary to have three stripes on the 3.5 mm earphone plug-in and one is for a switch. The switch has to be in the right part of the sequence for music OFF or ON and using the phone.

I got the in-line Griffin mic adapter, for my earbuds.

Others purchase the Apple iPhone earbuds with mic.

I have not seen the Macally mic. I think it is a plug-in to the long slot for the USB cable. If so, maybe the Griffin one will act as a switch.

It is a pain, I know. I have a Touch 2G and I have to do a mic check in the Voxie app, every time.

I have the Touch 2G too and was hoping to find another way to do this because it is a major pain in the butt
