    Just out of interest...
Would it be possible to run a VNC server on your iPod Touch or iPhone and then have the ability to control it from your computer?

Yeah, that would be really neat. I've been wondering about that as well.

All we need is for someone to turn the Server into a simple app which runs in the background or like Capture does? (A little hovering, movable box..)

there is a VNC server or pocket pc so i dont understand why an iPod VNC server couldnt be developed...
it would be useful instead of picking up the ipod all of the time (i plug my ipod into my server machine and access that machine via terminal services to manage the ipod, it would save me a walk back and fourth each time)

There are a number of reasons this would be really useful.
Someone could connect their touch to their stereo system and use VNC to control what was playing from where ever they were working on their Macbook for example.
This would be great for presentation purposes so you could project your iPod onto a screen to show folks features, apps, or whatever.
There's also, of course, the 'cool' factor. :~)
Multi-touch might be hard to emulate to a single-mouse environment, but Mac trackpads support multi-touch as well, so...

I ended up here because our school district is hoping to give touches to various staff and our Tech Coordinator wants to be able to do trainings from a single touch.

Haha, he means a server on the iPod.

I agree about the multi touch issue though.
