I just decided to install this program on the installer. I installed UltraVNC and in the Admin Properties, I created a password - what else do I need to do to connect to my touch?

I thought I might of did it right, but I can an error when I try to connect on my touch saying "Connection could not be made to host 5800 port 5900"

Can someone please tell me in the VNC thing on the ipod, when I add a new account, what am I supposed to put under the Name, Address, Password, and Display labels?

    Name: whatever
Address: your PC'S IP address (not the touch ip)
    Password: whatever
    Display labels: nothing

What do you mean when you say "whatever" for the name and password? Do I leave it blank?

192.168.2.15 doesn't sound right.. Is it a Linksys router?

Mine is always 192.168.1.100 for my pc... and then anything I add after adds 1.. so my touch is 192.168.1.101, and if I add another device it will be 192.168.1.102

Yeah it's a linsys router. I go to Start -> Run -> CMD -> ipconfig and I look beside where it says ip address and it gives me 192.168.2.1 - but my ipod's IP is 192.168.1.105... so what's wrong with my computer?

Im not totally sure. I don't know a ton about this stuff. Try 192.168.1.100 through to 192.168.1.104 and see what happens?

I got it to work.. yey. The IP 192.168.1.15 was the correct one... I just restarted touch and it worked... thats all it took.

Thanks for your help. Much appreciated!

if you want it to work remotely (outside your private network) use your ip (whatismyip.com) and forward port 5800-5900
