Hi all, Im just wondering if theres a faster way of using the VLC media player? Can files be copied into a directory within VLC.app or something vis ssh/ifile?

Well, browse the VLC.app directory and see if the video files are even located there. If they are, you may be able to just SSH files over to that directory.

Just couldn't be assed at the time to go through iTunes cos I didn't have my laptop with me but I had an avi that I'd downloaded. There's library in the .app folder but I don't know if that's where they are meant to go. Plus my laptop is pretty slow and it would be faster for me to download something on my iPad and move it to the right dir

    open ifile (Jailbreak ifile)

    /var/mobile/applications/c7abbc3.....adbb/documents

just put your videos in this directory...

I dont know if the c7abbc3... its the same on all ipads but if not just try to find the directory that have the vlc.app inside of it...

i use the wifi connection to transfer...its quite fast...if take too much time its because the video is too long...and vlc will not read it neither...maybe...lol..

    thats how I got it..

iTunes, PhoneDisk, PhoneView, iPhoneExplorer. So many ways to easily put the videos in the App.

Ohhh, PhoneDisk is 100x better than iPhone Explorer. Finally I don't hate SSHing into my iPhone on a mac.

Memory. Run some kind of memory cleaner app. Kill processes. After all, it IS only a software decoding implementation, unlike the regular video app which is hardware accelerated.
