I'm having a slight problem installing a theme by the name of Tab from deviant art.
I don't know what the problem is. I unzip the file and put the folder into Resources themes but then I go to change it by right clicking and it doesn't show up in the dialougue.

    This is how it came.
    1. it was a zip that I had to extract
    2. then it unzipped to a folder by the name of "TAB_for_Vista_by_dimage"
    3. Inside that folder is another folder that goes by the name of "TAB"
    4. Inside that folder there are two other folders(en-US and Shell) and a "TAB" visual style file
    5. Inside the "en-US" folder there is the "TAB.msstyles.mui file"
    6. Back inside the "Shell" folder is a "NormalColor" folder
    7. And inside the "NormalColor" is another "en-US" folder and a "shellstyle.dll" file
    8. Back inside the second "en-US" folder inside the "NormalColor" folder is a "shellstyle.dll.mui"

It's very confusing and I have no idea what goes where.
    Any help is greatly appreciated

well, if it is a .msstyle, A.K.A. Microsoft Visual Style, than you need tho have your UXTHEME.dll patched it you haven't already.

Plus, you have to double click to theme file and it will open the Properties Window

Resource hog and you have to pay for it.
I was looking for a free alternative.

    OH CRAP!!!

    not this BS again!!!!!!!

beware, I tried installing one of those Vista things from DA, and it messed up my Thinkpad SO BAD

seriously, it shot the shell for the GUI, and made everything lag like crap

seriously, it deleted the default themes, the backup theme (Windows 90's look, gray, white), and it corrupted the GUI

I WOULD STRONGLY advise against any of the "vista-transformation" stuff you find on DA

the .zip file also gave me 3 spyware attacks, that CA and Firefox were (thankfully) able to defend my machine from

seriously, don't even touch those files if you don't virus scan them first, and know what you are doing

    I HATE DA

Ive used deviant art ones before and it was fine, didnt completly work but didnt mess up my computer.

Just make sure you make a restore point before you do it and make a backup of the patched files.
