    I'm running Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex and now I've installed VirtualBox with windows xp. Now I need help loading USB for VirtualBox, because it says that the USB controller is disabled. I've looked high and low on how to enable it and nothing. Help!!

    Enabling USB for VirtualBox

    I used the information from the Ubuntu forums to make it work.

    rofl thats alot of sh*t to do all I did was:

    -> installed virtualbox (non-OSE)
    -> added myself to vboxusers group
    -> added usbfs group
    -> added myself to usbfs group
    -> added usbfs entry into fstab

    and that was it and it worked =\ didn't have to recompile the kernel or any of that other sh*t.

    what version are you running now of vbox?
