If I am only uploading animated tv episodes like south park and family guy to my ipod, will 480x320 resolution look ok? Or do I need to go a little higher since its a 960x640 screen? The videos don't have to have amazing quality, I just don't want them to be unwatchable. Thanks for any info.

It depends on what the aspect ratio of the source is (i think family guy is 4:3, at least it was a couple ofvyears ago). Here are the max. resolutions i just calculated for the 3 most common aspect ratios in video:

    16:9 - 960 x 540
    4:3 - 854 x 640
    21:9 - 960 x 412

I thought you keep the aspect ratio of the ipod screen. Such as because the ipod's screen is 960x540, I would make it 480x270. Im just wondering, I'm no expert.

if you don't care about quality you don't need to go 960 x 640

Well I'm not sure. Since the screen is 960x640, I would just cut each number in half, producing 480x320. It's still the same aspect ratio, so I'm guessing it would fit the screen but not look as "sharp." Although, this sharpness does'nt matter because it's an animated show. Someone correct me if I'm wrong please.
