A friend was trying to watch videos in safari but instead of the video player it just showed thousands of randoms characters as if trying to download a ******* in the pc. Any suggestions?

Yeah... We sure as hell know that, butthe videos we were trying to play were good two days ago and now they are just completely f***ed up, like I said, it only shows a bunch of random characters as if trying to download a ******* on pc. Note: we also tried in my ipod and worked just fine.

Actually, there is a "flash player" plugin for Safari that will allow you to watch most flash video on sites like Google Video, and MetaCafe.

Go to Cydia (must be jailbroken)
    Click Manage (at the bottom)
    Tap Sources

Click the Edit button in the top left
Click the + sign on the top right.
Type "d.imobilecinema.com" with no quotes. Leave the http://

Now after its done Refreshing Data, click Search in Cydia.
    Type iMobileCinema.
Install it, and respring or restart your device.

Open Safari and try watching Google Video or MetaCafe (try other sites too) and it will work.
