Video out?

    Hi, i need some help watching my ipod videos on a tv. I own a av cable and a portable speaker system iLuv i552 (with video out option) and neither work

    I had the same problem...tried the Dynex AV cable from Best Buy and the Dynex Dock from Best Buy and no-go. I go audio, but no video. I returned the Best Buy cables and bought one from the Apple store and it worked first time. Has something to do with a chip in the iPod Touch not allowing it to do from the headphone jack and only working with Apple cables (at least for now). Shame since the Apple cable is twice the cost.

    If you have 1.1.3 (which I've heard can do AV out through the headphone jack, but I'm not certain) try this:

    Plug the red RCA plug into your TV's yellow RCA jack.
    Plug the yellow RCA plug into your TV's white RCA jack.
    Plug the white RCA plug into your TV's red RCA jack.

    If it was not true, and 1.1.3 didn't enable it through the headphone jack, you'll need to buy Apple's proprietary cable that goes through the dock connector.
