I tried my video out cable I bought for my old 5g 30GV iPod. I get audio but no picture. Is the video out for Touch different? So do I need a new cable?

Yes, you do need a brand new $50 cable. Apples way of making a quick buck.

Someone needs to make a $5 adapter that could go between your old video dock and the new ipods to make them work.

There should be a class action suit against Apple for this greedy tactic. With Apple's new strategy you'll find very limited options available. With their old iPods there are 100s of options.

Lol, you can't sue them because they made a new product that doesn't work with old products. That happens all the time in many industries.

Like the cell phone industry. Should I sue Motorola because I had a bunch of devices that relied on their old connections now that they have changed over to mini-USB? Should I sue LG because my 9900 doesn't have the mini-USB that my Motorola does? It used to be the chargers changed with every model generation.

4DThinker, nobody can make an intermediate device. Apple patented the new connection to prevent it. It's like their magnetic connection on the laptops. It's patented also.
