  1. ARRGGGHHH! I WANNA PUNCH MY COMPUTER...i have tried for the last hour and half to get this ****ing thing to work!

I am running windows, and trying to decrypt the dmg from the ipsw for ios 4.0 for iphone 3gs (build 8a293). I don't actually own an iphone 3gs, but i wanna lookit the system files to compare them to the ios system on an ipod...

anyways i have tried and tried and it keeps giving me the same errors!

    here's what i input:
    Code:
    vfdecrypt.exe -i 018-5534-582.dmg -o decrypted.dmg -k 5d79765bc3233cbee58727c17a9487e5dc1e38400c2a98c30997bb02d00e97ae3ce5fab8

and it keeps returning me this:
    Code:
Must specify one of -k or -p
    Incorrect arguments.
    Usage: vfdecrypt -i in-file [-p password] [-k key] -o out-file

I know its annoying right? Your gonna wanna shatter your computer when I tell you the solution:
    Code:
    vfdecrypt.exe -i 018-5534-582.dmg -k 5d79765bc3233cbee58727c17a9487e5dc1e38400c2a98c30997bb02d00e97ae3ce5fab8 -o decrypted.dmg
Thats it. You had to put it in this order: input, key, output.
  3. ooh...ima try this, if this really works thanks!

Is the decrypt code before the output?

    Do in the following order:

    -i <.dmg> -k <key> -o <.dmg>

    then it should work.
