I recently had to rejailbreak my jailbroken ipod touch 2g (3.0) because i installed Supreme Preferences and it completely screwed up my ipod when i tried to uninstall it. It put it in a kind of "safe" mode where all the themes were off and no matter what i did it wouldnt change it back. So i used redsn0w to rejailbreak it and it fixed it with all the themes working and everything back except one problem.

Everything that i had previously installed from cydia is still there and working but when i go into cydia, none of the packages appear and if i do go to them in cydia, instead of saying modify, i have to install it again! and it takes up additional space!!

is there anyway to get all of my installed packages back into cydia so it recognizes it and i dont have to delete everything and redownload it. can i do it with ssh? please help!!!!!!

    Try this:
    Go into Cydia
    The Changes Section
Upper left hand corner click refresh
    Then Reboot ipod
Go back into cydia and see

When your in safe mode all you have to do is swipe the top of the ipod touch to go back into normal mode and Just DFU restore and rejailbreak you need to clear everything and start fresh

It's not in safe mode tho. It was in a similar state to safe mode when uninstalled supreme preferences but when i rejailbroke it went back to normal. But is there anything i can do besides restoring because i leterally had around 200 packages and it would take forever to redownload all of them

It's for Cydia apps, iTunes should backup your App Store apps.

hmm it seems to only backup data from appstore apps.. "AppBackup is a program for the iPhone and iPod touch that lets you back up and restore the saved data and settings for your App Store apps."
