Ok guys, is it just me, or is the max sound on the ipod touch really not very 'max'?? I dont think its a headphone issue either because i have tried using several different makes and the sound is still way too quiet in comparison to my old mp3 player.

Any thoughts?? Hope there is a solution to this!

The max volume on my iPod Touch is a lot quieter than my old Zen Touch used to be. But I now use sound isolating in-ear headphones so it doesn't really make a difference.

Are you in the EU, because I think there are still volume limits.
    I found this on Macrumours
Mine was really loud before I did this and it hurts my ears now

I think you have just f'ed up your ears by listening to music too loud in general. Listening to your ipod(any ipod) at full volume will damage your hearing. 2/3 volume is the highest I listen to mine.

I never put the volume on max. It's just too loud and hurts my ears. Unless there's a volume problem with the song, it always stays at about 90% up the volume bar.

    Haha
