very long boot and shutdown time

    The boot time on my ipod touch 2nd gen 3.0 JBed is so long, i timed it and it took 2 minutes the sutdown time is about 30 seconds. is this normal, my boot time was way faster on 2.2 JBed?

    Not too bad for me, but worse. This is probably a bug that will be fixed in an update.

    If it is too bad, then don't install as much.

    after reading this i'm really relieved, i thought it was just mine.
    yeh i guess its a bug that they'll eventually fix, i'm just happy its jailbroken right now, im not too worried about boot time

    Jailbreaking adds alot of useless things to the iPod and it can't deal with them smoothly, hence why it takes forever and a day to boot up.

    The more stuff you have with your jailbreak, the longer it will take to boot. I just have cydia and haven't even gotten anything else yet and it's booting just fine. I'm pretty sure that will change once I get sbsettings, winterboard, etc.

    it always took a while but 3.0 made it even worse

    3.0 is slow even non jailbroken. I should have stayed on 2.2.1 :[

    I would just hope that 3.1 is a huge bug fix.
