Hello! Over here at Canada, we get major sales on Dec. 26 known as Boxing Day and Future Shop, the major electronics retailer (Although it was bought by Best Buy) is offering $100 discount on either of lowest-end MacBook and 13-inch MacBook Pro.

They are both Unibody ones, Links: MacBook
    MacBook Pro

It seems that MacBook actually has MORE hard drive storage then MacBook Pro, with the rest of the configuration being same.

So am I paying premium just for the aluminum body if I buy a MacBook Pro?

    Help me out!

    Have a good Christmas though.

*Edit: I found this too, take a look: http://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0926INGFS10135159&catid=22156

    Higher configuration MacBook

The Pro has the SD card Slot and Firewire but the white one doesn't. Also the MacBook Pros screen is more vibrant. The MacBooks RAM can only go up to 4GB while the pro is 8GB. The pro also has the ability to use SSDs and has a backlit keyboard and ambient light sensor while the Macbook doesn't. The MacBook pro is a tiny bit lighter too. And in my opinion the MacBook Pro just looks more sexy and complete.

Here is a good comparison between the two:

Just hit the compare button next to overview and tech specs.

And aluminum is much more durable compared to plastic

And the plastic Macbook gets the hell scratched out of it for anything...

Its almost as bad as the back of the iPod touch.

That's actually not the case anymore. The late-2009 MacBook now has an LED display too.

They both have LEDS you are correct but the pro has a 60% greater color gamma. And if you go to your local apple store or bestbuy or wherever you can really notice how much better the pros screen is.

    Thanks everyone!
I'll be getting the MacBook Pro for the SD card and aluminum casing.
Thank you for giving many advices!
Hope you had a good Christmas

P.S. but I don't understand why 250GB HDD is in the plastic MacBook while MacBook has 160GB HDD as default. Ah well, storage isn't my priority anyways, and laptop harddrives will fail anyways too.

    Macbook Pro > Macbook

Macbook Pro is sexier, more sturdy and slightly fast (from what i know... is it still 2GB DDR2?) And also it doesn't scratch easy.
