First I would like to point out that I have tried 4 different headphones, all with the same results.

I Jailbroke my 8GB 1st Gen 2.2 iPod Touch last night, and now all of the audio is bad. It sounds crackly, and almost "bubbly". Also, the singing is usually way down on every song, and it sounds distorted. This wasn't happening before I Jailbroke it.

Does anyone have suggestions? This is my first time ever Jailbreaking, am I looking over something important?

Any help is appreciated, and I have already tried restarting it many times. Thanks!

Check that you don't have the equalizer (EQ) turned on.

check a different pair of headphones. If they do the same thing, restore the ipod to see if it fixes itself, then re-jailbreak.

That's what I would do. If it still sounds bad after the restore, it's a hardware problem.

he already said that he tried 4 different headphones.

Possibly the files weren't sync'd properly.

If it persists, indeed do a restore.

Alright guys. I've tried everything I can fathom except for restoring. Thanks for the tips, I guess I'll have to restore it now.
