So like.. I got the BlackBerry Tour back in August and it has a SIM-Card. So recently, my phone got wet, and I had to send it to the insurance company and blah-blah. And they asked if the card was damaged and all this jazz..

But my question is, what does it do? What does the SIM-Card to? the lady I called from the insurance company says it does nothing.

Are you sure it's a sim card? It's probably a memory card because Verizon phones don't use sim cards.

Well, a sim card store some contacts along with some other stuff, and lets your phone use X network. A memory card, well, really, I shouldn't have to explain that.

Well, I'm positive it's a SIM-Card, then why would the insurance company ask if it was damaged? I can take a picture of it, if you guys need the proof.

And it can't be to receive service from my provider, cause my phone even works without it.

What model is what..? The SIM-Card? It's kinda' long, compared to the ones I've seen on metro and such, and it's black a red, the black saying " Verizon ", and the bottom red party saying " Vodafone "

I just google'd it. The Blackberry Tour is dual-network compatible, so that's why it has a sim card. It won't do anything if you only have Verizon.
