My local news station said that ATT loses it's contract with Apple later this year, and it may sign a contract with Verizon for an iPhone 4G. I haven't been able to find anything about when, but does anyone have any info that I may not know about. Is it all just rumors right now?

    Thanks.

You don't know that. It is simply a rumor.

Yeah, just rumors. But, from the look of things, it does indeed look like Apple is making a Verizon iPhone.

You should have said "Yes, it is a rumor.". Instead you state that it like a fact.

i dont really see a point in making it for another provider, people can just always jailbreak and unlock (not with 3.1.3 now tho)

I'd rather stay on Verizon than switch to ATT for hardware purposes. My friend's blackberry that his office pays for always drops calls, etc. I only lose service going to the mountains of PA.
